Launch preview
Key EQ Legends release milestones — pre-order perks, beta window, and global launch on PC.
EverQuest Legends (EQL) launches globally on July 28, 2026, per the official everquestlegends.com shop FAQ (last updated June 16, 2026). Pre-order opened June 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific on the official shop.
This EQ Legends release date applies to retail servers worldwide. EQ Legends is a PC download from everquestlegends.com — not Steam, Mac, console, or mobile. Do not confuse it with unrelated mobile games that use similar words in their titles.
Between now and launch, track Pre-order Beta (July 1, 2026–July 21, 2026) for hands-on testing. Beta progress does not carry over to the July 28 retail launch, but beta time helps you pick a three-class build before creating your live EverQuest Legends character.
| Milestone | Date | EQ Legends notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-order opens | June 16, 2026 | Purchase on everquestlegends.com |
| Pre-order Beta starts | July 1, 2026 | Fresh beta servers; name reservation live |
| Pre-order Beta ends | July 21, 2026 | Beta characters wiped before launch |
| Global launch | July 28, 2026 | Retail EverQuest Legends servers open |
Pre-order customers receive Pre-order Beta access from July 1, 2026 through July 21, 2026. Daybreak and Game Jawn stand up new beta servers for this phase so pre-order players get a clean start alongside name reservation.
Existing closed-beta testers may continue on the legacy test shard when it returns, or pre-order for the fresh Pre-order Beta realm. Official FAQ states alpha/beta testers who want the pre-order server experience must purchase EQ Legends before July 1.
Treat EverQuest Legends beta as a preview, not progression you keep. Use beta to validate UI settings, test multiclass loadouts, and confirm your primary class choice before July 28, 2026. Pair beta notes with the multiclass guide and tier list.
The EQ Legends base game costs $19.99 and includes one month of game access starting on July 28, 2026 if you pre-ordered. After the included month, EverQuest Legends requires a $9.99/month recurring subscription billed through your Daybreak account.
EverQuest Legends is not free-to-play. Official FAQ confirms the cash shop sells cosmetics and convenience only — not direct power upgrades. Cancel any time through your online account; EQL remains a live-service game with planned DLC and expansions.
Compared to classic MMO box prices, EQ Legends targets casual and returning Norrath players who want solo-friendly three-class characters without a mandatory raid schedule.

Lock your three-class plan before reading combo rankings
Everyone who pre-orders EverQuest Legends from everquestlegends.com/shop receives four headline perks:
• Pre-order Beta access (July 1, 2026 – July 21, 2026) on dedicated servers
• Character name reservation when you log into Pre-order Beta
• Exclusive in-game title "the Legend" (optional display after your name)
• Full EverQuest Legends access at launch with the first month of subscription included in the $19.99 box
Pre-order is the only way to lock a name early and stress-test builds before July 28, 2026. If you are new to Norrath, start with the beginner guide while beta downloads.
Retail EverQuest Legends launches with Antonica, Faydwer, and Odus — classic Norrath continents in the original art style — plus fifteen races and sixteen classes with 560 three-class combinations. Daybreak Game Company and Game Jawn describe EQ Legends as evolving on its own lore timeline, not mirroring EverQuest Live expansion order one-for-one.
Kunark is planned as the first expansion with EQ Legends–specific story and zone twists, plus never-before-seen content. Plane of Fear, Plane of Hate, and Plane of Sky remain part of pre-Kunark endgame progression for level 46+ characters.
Post-launch, expect patch notes on class balance, cash-shop cosmetics, and new systems via official channels. We summarize major milestones on this page; confirm details on everquestlegends.com after each update.
